12th Five-Year Plan for High-end Equipment Manufacturing is Expected to Be Launched in the Near Future

“The “12th Five-Year Plan for High-end Equipment Manufacturing Industry” is currently signed by the Ministry of Finance and the Development and Reform Commission and is expected to be introduced in the near future.” Director Yao Yao of the Planning Division of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology attended the “2012 International Petroleum Industry Summit Forum” on March 19th. The 12th Five-Year Plan for High-end Equipment Manufacturing was prepared by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The plan proposes that by 2015 the sales value of high-end equipment will account for more than 20% of the equipment manufacturing industry, and the annual sales value will reach 6 trillion yuan. The key directions of the plan include five major fields: aviation equipment, marine engineering equipment, rail transportation equipment, satellite manufacturing equipment and applications, and intelligent manufacturing equipment.

According to reports, Yao Hao said: "High-end equipment is the foundation and key to promote the transformation and upgrading of industrialization. It is a strategic choice to seize the commanding heights of future economic and technological development. It is an important engine for promoting the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries, or a solid foundation for fostering the development of strategic emerging industries. ."
