If China's manufacturing industry wants to ensure that market share is not lost in the subsequent competition, it must vigorously implement technology-intensive upgrades, and use a large number of automated control systems and industrial equipment to create a high-quality and efficient manufacturing chain. Although this road of transformation has been recognized by many experts, is there still a minority of domestic manufacturing upgrades? The reasons are mostly caused by factors such as weak technology.

Taking modern automation production core equipment plc as an example, although there are a number of domestic PLC enterprises such as Hollysys, domestic brands are mostly concentrated in the small PLC field; domestic large and medium-sized PLC market is still occupied by foreign companies such as Siemens, and local products are occupied. The rate is too low. Once many Chinese private enterprises begin to change their development model and move toward automation, the demand for PLC equipment will still be subject to people, which is not conducive to long-term development. This is also a major aspect that local automation companies must make.

Finish the hardware, then say the software. In addition to the gap between large and medium-sized automation hardware devices, local automation companies have not achieved comprehensive domestic control software, and market constraints are obvious. The reason is that although the base of IT practitioners in China has been relatively large, the mid-to-high-end talents are still insufficient, which directly leads to the relatively lagging position of large-scale CNC software programming. It also needs to be imported to meet domestic production needs.

From hardware to software are subject to foreign countries to varying degrees, is a big heart disease in the process of domestic manufacturing automation transformation. This is also the original intention of the continuous introduction of domestic industrial planning, that is, comprehensively enhance the strength of domestic manufacturing.

At present, the 12th Five-Year High-end Equipment Industry Plan has already been released. This plan clarifies that China's equipment manufacturing will move toward high-end in the future, realize the localization of major industrial equipment, and further improve the domestic manufacturing system. In addition, there is also a clear guidance on the CNC system. This field will rely on the localization process of high-end CNC machine tools to gradually increase the development of local CNC systems. After all, the core code in its own CNC program is better than imported products in terms of security.

In fact, the technical improvement of hard power and soft power will be a revolutionary change for China's manufacturing industry. In the future, China's manufacturing industry will adhere to the guiding principles of reform, strive to achieve the transformation of production automation, and lay a solid foundation for the improvement of the country's comprehensive strength.
