Faurecia Automotive Jiangsu Chair Factory

Yesterday, France’s component giant Faurecia Group signed an investment project agreement with Jiangsu Yancheng Economic and Technological Development Zone. The company invested US$42 million to build a new chair factory. Yancheng is one of the important development bases of the Chinese automobile industry.

According to this agreement, Faurecia will produce automobile seats and components in the Yancheng Economic and Technological Development Zone, and plans to achieve an annual output of 4 million pieces. The new plant, which occupies an area of ​​approximately 22,000 square meters, is expected to start construction at the end of this year and achieve maximum capacity in the summer of 2013.

Foggia stated that China is the market for its business development and currently has established 25 factories and 4 R&D centers in China.
