Eaton Corporation, a diversified industrial manufacturer in the United States, said that the company has signed a long-term cooperation agreement with Argentina’s TecnologÃa Avanzada en Transporte SA (“TATSAâ€). Under the cooperation agreement, Eaton will design and supply the hybrid power system for TATSA. The hybrid system will consist of a 44 million electric motor and an Eaton 6-speed automatic transmission combined with a Cummins diesel engine. It is reported that the power generated by this system will be stored in the four Li-ion batteries provided in the system. Eaton said that the company will try to produce 6 sets of hybrid system devices, and the remaining 20 sets will be regenerated later. TATSA produces commercial vehicles at its San Martin plant in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The company stated that it will soon start operating its new plant in Maldonado, Uruguay. In addition, the company also said it plans to build a new plant this year in Fort Valley, Georgia.
